There are two tours on offer at the park.
One is the three and a half hour morning town which is a comprehensive town tour and covers everything that Coober Pedy is renowned for e.g. underground living, underground churches and underground mining.
The second tour - also of three and half hours’ duration - takes you to the Breakaways where you will encounter ancient landforms and relics of what was once covered by an inland sea. You will be dazzled by spectacular sunsets whilst enjoying refreshments.
There are two buses and a four-wheel drive to suit the size of the tour group.
The tour guide is the oldest in Coober Pedy with profound knowledge of the area, the town and its history.
Oasis Tourist Park is situated 100 metres from the centre of Coober Pedy – within easy walking distance of the supermarket, opal shops, post office and restaurants.
It is a long way from the traffic noise of the Stuart Highway, is pet-friendly, has an iconic indoor swimming pool and its gates are locked at night for security.
It offers unpowered and powered sites, some with water connection and some with ensuites, as well as cabins.
Twelve sites are under shade cloth.
Four powered ensuite sites.
Twenty five sites have a water connection – the only park in Coober Pedy with this facility.
Five sites are drive-through.
There are 18 unpowered sites.
Max 5 people
Full self-contained, they can accommodate a maximum of five people.
Max 4 people
There are four cabins of this type.
These are more modern and can accommodate a maximum of five people.
Max 6 people
This is an older style cabin for the budget-conscious.
It can accommodate a maximum of six people.
As there is no ensuite shower or toilet, guests have the use of the park amenities .
1 to 2 people

For the budget conscious, these rooms are ideal for an overnight stay.
There is no ensuite shower/toilet.

Oasis offers two sightseeing tours per day, one that takes in the iconic areas of town and the other taking visitors to the breathtaking Kanku National Park (The Breakways).
This is a 70 km roundtrip which will take you to the Breakaways situated out of town and on the edge of the Moon Plain.

George is your tour guide. Fabulous raconteur George has a vast supply of anecdotes. He has lived in Coober Pedy for a long time and knows the area and the bush very well. He may look like your every day tour guide but is in fact a mix of Crocodile Dundee and Indiana Jones. Even if you don't go on tour with him you will no doubt meet him in and around the park as he is the manager and owner. Well-known from Adelaide to Darwin for his kindness and ever readiness to help.
